El proyecto Spare Parts nació del deseo de limpiar el taller del Deus Emporium of Post Modern Activities en Venice, California. Forrest Minchinton y Ciaran Naran, embajadores y constructores residentes de Deus, han dedicado la mayor parte de su vida a competir en motos de cross y, más recientemente, a competir a tiempo completo en el Campeonato Mundial del Desierto SCORE como parte del equipo de carreras Deus en la categoría Pro Motorcycle Unlimited.
