Warm up the engines and polish away the rust, the third edition of the mighty Swank Rally di Sardegna is ready to set sail. From September 28th to 2nd October, hundreds of kilometers of dirt road are waiting us, and old and new friends will join the ride.
For who are not familiar with the Swank Rally of Sardegna, you should know that it is not a rally like the others: Everyone is welcome and the routes will entertain both amateurs and professionals. Registrations are open for both vintage and modern enduro bikes or anything you’d like to ride for 250-300 km per day on dirt tracks.
The departure is scheduled as always from the continent where all the participants will meet at the Malpensa dirt track for the Prologue – the very first bite of dirt and timed section - and a warming-up party before setting sail. Like last year, the amazing stage that will take us from the Prologue to the port of Genoa will be the entrée to whet the appetite for dirt roads.
Disembarked in Porto Torres, the immense and wild Sardinia will offer its hidden paths and breathtaking views to our tires. We will just have to keep the eyes on the roadbook or GPS, hit the gas and stop thinking about anything else. The organization will take care about the rest.
For rank lovers there is the competitive category (R1 / R2) and for those who just want to experience the thrill of participating in a rally, there is the non-competitive category (E1).
This year, riders can also take part to the event as a team of 3 or 4 members. There will be a special ranking dedicated to team which won’t exclude the pilots from the individual ranking.

Scaldate i motori e lucidate i ferri vecchi, la terza edizione dello Swank Rally di Sardagna è pronta a salpare. Dal 28 Settembre al 2 Ottobre ci aspettano centinaia di chilometri di sterrato da percorrere e non mancheranno vecchi e nuovi amici con cui salpare.
Per chi non conoscesse lo Swank Rally di Sardegna, non è un rally come gl’altri: Sono tutti i benvenuti, sia amateur che professionisti, ed entrambi troveranno soddisfazioni e sfide sul percorso. Le iscrizioni sono aperte per moto da enduro vintage (pre-2000) e moderne (post-2000) o qualsiasi mezzo ci si senta di guidare su sterrati e mulattiere per 250-300 km al giorno.
La partenza è prevista come sempre dal continente dove ci si ritroverà con tutti i partecipanti per il Prologo al Crossodromo di Malpensa – primo assaggio di terra e prima prova cronometrata - e per far un po’ di meritata festa prima di salpare. Come lo scorso anno la tappa che condurrà dal prologo al porto di Genova farà da entrée per solleticare l’appetito di sterrato.
Sbarcati a Porto Torres, davanti ai tasselli si stenderà l’immensa e selvaggia Sardegna pronta ad offrirci sentieri nascosti, panorami mozzafiato e una dose indimenticabile di avventura. Non ci rimarrà che tenere gli occhi sul roadbook o sul navigatore, dare di gas e dimenticare tutto il resto. L’organizzazione penserà a tutto il resto.
Per gli amanti delle classifiche c’è la categoria competitiva (R1) e per chi invece vuole solo provare il brivido di partecipare ad un rally, c’è la categoria non competitiva (E1).
Quest’anno ci sarà anche la possibilità di partecipare in team da 3 o 4 membri e rientrare nella classifica dedicata, che non escluderà i membri del team dalla classifica individuale.
