Bike Build Off - Staff Build
It's Bike Build Off time again and we have been lucky enough to peep behind the Deus workshop roller door to follow this year's Staff Build by Tim Roodenburg from Camperdown's House of Simple Pleasures. Keeping in the theme of "doing the most with least" Tim decided he would go on the hunt for an old, rundown Postie CT110. With no real plan except a passion for choppers, a rusty frame and minimal budget - Tim got to work on the 1985 cobweb covered postie which will join over 50 registered bikes at the Australian leg of the event on Saturday September 24th at the Bondi Pavilion. The video above also contains some wise words and insight from Deus Founder "Dare Jennings" on the idea and creation that has became the Boundless Enthusiasm Bike Build Off. Dare also drops a few hints about what the judges will be looking for and the spirit of building the most with the least. Last week on Venice Boulevard, the local community of heritage Japanese auto enthusiasts descended upon the Emporium of Postmodern Activities.
A mix of '60s, '70s '80s, '90s and early '00s classics were on display, including rarities like a Toyota Stout 1900, a Datsun 280z and an adorable Nissan Pao.
