Pentagram x Deus Ex Machina

Osh Gallery, London

At the centre of the exhibition is an original 1965 Morris Mini Cooper S race car, featuring a livery designed for Deus ex Machina by Pentagram partner Matt Willey, alongside new work from Deus Ex Machina, Matt Willey, Angus Hyland and Pentagram industrial designer Piotr Woronkowicz.

On show are custom motorcycle helmets, one-off objects, limited-edition T-shirts, plus a newspaper designed by Matt Willey.

Deus Ex Machina has also reworked a selection of garments, including T-shirts, overalls and a Harrington jacket. Many of the pieces will be available to buy during the exhibition, including the Mini Cooper itself.

There’s also a rare chance to hear Deus ex Machina co-founder and creative director Carby Tuckwell, who’s flying in for a special talk at Pentagram’s London studio on Monday 14 September.

The latest chapter in an ongoing collaboration, the exhibition explores a shared interest in how things are designed, made and used, and the ideas and processes behind them.
