After the incredible industrial area of the Falck, the mythical parabolic curve at Monza to The Reunion and the first edition of Wildays amongst the beautiful hills of the Fornovo area, the Swank Rally celebrated with the "Gran Finale" on Sunday September 17th. It took place at the legendary Fast Cross at Arsago Seprio (Va) no less; the motorcycling temple that hosted the last unforgettable motocross show where the best supercross riders took on the best European riders. This legendary private track owned by the Saporiti family has always been considered one of the most prestigious in the world, and it closed long ago on September 17th 2000, the cut-off year for motorcycles that could take part in Swank this year and, please note, it is even taking place on the same day ... what a "coincidence"!?.
The day was glorious and sunny as per tradition, confirming the legend that the day before the event it rains cats and dogs then turns beautiful, but Deus has connections in the right places…
Many illustrious off-road names, motocross and rally champions (some even from abroad), as well as insiders like our friend Guido Meda (voice of the Motomondiale Moto Gp) who self-commentated at the start (he found it strange himself!) and who presented the various riders who took part in some individual rides within with the Swank Rally formula, in absolute freedom and playing by “gentlemen’s” rules, creating a final ranking that is now familiar to those who follow these Deus events. The final order: Sandro Tramelli, Adelio Lorenzin and Roberto Ungaro.
For the "privileged" guests invited to the event, it was a pleasure to see old competition jerseys; glories such as Claudio Terruzzi, Renato Zocchi, Danilo Monti, Alessandro Gritti, but also Olympic athletes like Marco Aurelio Fontana and Superbike’s Argentinian Chris Cotton Russell.
A special prize went to Juri and Renzo Tiozzo, father and son acrobats (really crazy) on a cross sidecar!

Nach dem unglaublichen Industriegelände der Falck, der legendären Steilkurve des Autodromo di Monza bei The Reunion und der ersten Ausgabe der Wildays mit einer Navigation durch die wunderschönen Hügel der Gegend von Fornovo feierte die Swank Rally ihr „Gran Finale“ am Sonntag, den 17. September, „nicht weniger als“ auf dem legendären Fast Cross von Arsago Seprio: einem Tempel, der die letzte unvergessliche internationale Motocross-Show beherbergte, bei der die besten Supercross-Fahrer gegen die besten europäischen Piloten antraten. Die legendäre Privatstrecke der Familie Saporiti galt stets als eine der prestigeträchtigsten der Welt, geschlossen am fernen 17. September 2000, dem Grenzjahr der beim Swank zugelassenen Motorräder, und am selben Tag ... „Zufälle“!?
Der Tag war wie immer wunderschön und sonnig und bestätigte die Legende, dass es am Tag vor der Veranstaltung in Strömen regnet, um dann schön zu werden. Doch dieser Deus hat mehr als nur „Heilige“ im Himmel ...
Viele große Namen des Offroads waren dabei, von Motocross-Champions bis zu Rallye-Größen (einige sogar aus dem Ausland angereist), aber auch Insider wie unser Freund Guido Meda (Stimme der Moto-GP-Weltmeisterschaft), der sich beim Start selbst kommentierte (auch er war etwas verdutzt) und die verschiedenen Fahrer vorstellte, die sich auf einige einzelne Runden einließen, organisiert nach der Formel der Swank Rally: in völliger Freiheit und mit echtem „Gentleman“-Spirit. Daraus entstand eine Rangliste, die allen, die diese Deus Events verfolgen, inzwischen vertraut ist, in dieser Reihenfolge: Sandro Tramelli, Adelio Lorenzin und Roberto Ungaro.
Für die „privilegierten“ Gäste des Tages war es eine Freude, in ihren alten Renntrikots Größen wie Claudio Terruzzi, Renato Zocchi, Danilo Monti, Alessandro Gritti wiederzusehen, aber auch Olympioniken wie Marco Aurelio Fontana und ausländische Superbike-Fahrer wie den Argentinier Chris Cotton Russell.
