Su estreno mundial sería una carrera real, el Deus Swank Rally de Cerdeña. La "Swank Rally 700", basada en una Yamaha XSR700, sería 100 % Deus y su chasis se transformaría radicalmente para afrontar el exigente circuito todoterreno a un ritmo de prueba especial. La primera prueba durante el Rally de Cerdeña fue un éxito. La pilotó nuestro amigo y ciclista olímpico de MTB Marco Aurelio Fontana; lo disfrutó tanto que nos costó mucho recuperarla.
